A role at our church
We are looking for a youth pastor
New Beginning Church of the Nazarene is seeking someone to lead our teen ministry — to teach them, know them, and walk with them through the years that shape the rest of their lives.
What the role involves
Our teens meet twice a week. Sunday evenings at 6:00, at the same time as the evening service so families can come together and worship in their own groups. Wednesday evenings at 6:30, alongside adult Bible study and children’s church.
Beyond those gatherings, our students take part in wider Nazarene youth events, including the Nazarene Youth Conference, and the church family fundraises together to help make those trips possible.
Who we are hoping to find
Someone who loves Christ and loves teenagers, and who is willing to be a steady presence in their lives rather than a visitor to them. Someone parents can trust and students can talk to honestly.
We are a Church of the Nazarene congregation, so a heart for holiness teaching matters to us. Beyond that, we care much more about character and calling than about a particular résumé.
The church you would be joining
We are a congregation in Ashland, Kentucky, on Copley Road between Boyd County Learning Center and Cannonsburg Elementary School. Our teen ministry is currently led by adults from within our church family, who would be glad of a leader to work alongside.
Hours, support and pay
We would rather talk with you about what this could look like than post a job description that pretends every detail is already settled. We are a small congregation, and the shape of the role is something to work out together.
So please ask. Nobody will think less of you for wanting to know.
